A team from the Canadian Red Cross is supporting the Village of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, where a state of local emergency was declared Saturday evening and a mandatory evacuation was ordered for about 175 residents in low-lying areas due to ice jams and the risk of flash flooding. Other village residents were encouraged to voluntarily evacuate.

River Watch New Brunswick has issued an ice movement flood watch for several of the province's rivers. The agency is asking that people be aware of the situation, and say that river flows and levels are expected to rise over the next 24 hours and there is a probability of ice movement and ice jamming along the St. John River, and other river systems.

It's safe to say that the Spring thaw is on in most parts of Maine and New Brunswick with temperatures expected to be in the mid 40s Fahrenheit or right around 6C to finish out the week.
