Ashland girls soccer beat Mattanawcook 2-1 to give Coach Pete Belskis his 500th career win, while Houlton girls and Ashland boys also picked up Labor Day victories.

Presque Isle girls shut out Orono, Fort Kent and Easton picked up boys soccer wins, and Caribou boys tied Foxcroft Academy on Saturday.

Central Aroostook swept Washburn on the soccer field, Fort Fairfield girls rolled past Easton, and Easton boys answered with a late 1-0 win.

Aroostook County’s fall season opened with soccer victories, Presque Isle’s unbeaten 4-0-1 tournament run, 107 runners in Caribou and a UMFK preseason win.

Easton Junior Senior High School has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2026, recognizing Raiden Cochran, Olivia Bate, Chloe Blackstone and Lilah Pelkey ahead of graduation on Friday, June 5.

Easton beat Jonesport 58-42 to win the Class S North title and reach the state championship for the first time since 2016. The Bears forced 31 turnovers and outscored the Royals 37-16 in the second half, opening the fourth on a 14-0 run.

Easton beat Katahdin 72-42 in the Class S boys semifinal to reach the Northern Maine Championship. Mason Pelletier posted 34 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 steals as the Bears pulled away after an 8-8 first quarter.
