BIDDEFORD, Maine (AP) — The driver of a pickup truck that struck three bicyclists including a 15-month-old boy in Biddeford last week says he feels ‘‘awful’’ about what happened but says he had a coughing fit and fainted just before the accident.
State Police say a bicyclist was killed on June 14, when he was struck by a tractor trailer along Route 2 in Hanover, Maine. Troopers identified the victim as 23-year-old David LeClair of Watertown, Mass. who was riding with a group of friends as part of the Trek Across Maine.
