A statement from the RCMP said police were called to the home around 9 p.m. Friday after a report that a man was barricaded inside. Around 5 a.m. Saturday, police said the house and two adjacent sheds caught fire and were destroyed and the body of a man, identified by the RCMP as 45-year-old Anthony Armour, was located outside the home at around 10:30 a.m. An autopsy was planned to determine the cause of death.

There was no immediate confirmation on the cause of the fire, at 12 South Johnville Road.
