On June 1,  RCMP received a report of an all-terrain vehicle stolen from a home near Sainte-Anne-du-Bocage church in Caraquet. On June 4, around 9 p.m., RCMP responded to an ATV on fire at the quarry at the end of Chemin Alexis in Caraquet. The vehicle proved to be the one stolen three days earlier. It was destroyed in the fire.

The ATV is described as a green 2008 Arctic Cat, according to Sgt. Stéphane Blanchard. Witnesses reported seeing two ATVs, each carrying two people, leaving the area of the quarry around the time of the fire.

Anyone with information about the fire, or the people seen in the quarry on Sunday, June 4, is asked to contact the Caraquet RCMP at (506) 726-5222 or 1-888-506-RCMP (7267).
