The break-ins occurred in December and January. During their investigation, police obtained a description of a vehicle associated with the thefts, along with a partial license plate number. Police stopped a vehicle matching that description in Grand Falls, according to Sgt. J.P. MacDougall of the West District RCMP.

A 33-year-old man and 44-year-old woman, both of Anderson Road, N.B. were arrested. They were released on promises to appear in Woodstock Provincial Court at a later date. The investigation continues.

Police are asking residents in the Tilley, Oxbow, or Plaster Rock areas who may have observed suspicious activity around abandoned buildings over the last couple of months or have been the victim of a break, enter, and theft to contact Perth-Andover RCMP at (506) 325-3000.
