In honor of National Museum Day, Saturday, September 21, the Presque Isle Air Museum will host an Open House from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m that day.

The museum was established in 1999 as a way of honoring the men and women who served this country at the Presque Isle Army Air Field. It was also a way to preserve,  display and promote awareness of the history of aviation in Presque Isle and its roles in the Presque Isle Army Air Field and the Presque Isle Air Force Base.

During this open house, visitors can browse the exhibits or participate in a scavenger hunt. Kids will receive a free WWII Warbirds aircraft coloring page.

The Presque Isle Air Museum can be found at the south end of the Presque Isle International Airport terminal at 650 Airport Drive.  Visitors to the museum that day are asked to enter through the south end door rather than the main terminal or luggage area doors.

Those wishing more information can contact the Air Museum by email at piarimuseum@hotmail.com.
