Post Malone Embraces the Chaos of Fatherhood — and Wouldn’t Change a Thing

Post Malone isn’t afraid to admit he has no idea what he’s doing when it comes to parenting — and that honesty might be exactly what makes him so endearing.

The rock-turned-country superstar recently opened up about life with his 3-year-old daughter, offering rare glimpses into the chaos, sweetness, and surprising soundtrack that comes with being a dad.

“She’s just the most incredible creature to have lived on this planet,” Malone told GQ. “I don’t deserve something like that, but it’s awfully cool that’s in my life.”

The 30-year-old shares his daughter with ex-fiancée Jamie Park.

While he’s kept her out of the spotlight, Malone doesn’t shy away from painting a vivid picture of what life looks like at home.

Now that construction on his house is finally finished, his daughter’s favorite activity is riding her bike down a long hallway.

“She’s got this little toy horse, and she rides up and down and just f--king laughs the whole f--king way,” he said. “It is the most wonderful thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Her taste in music? It’s nothing short of eclectic — and adorable.

Malone shared that she’s obsessed with Paw Patrol’s “Pup Pup Boogie,” a singing Korean penguin named Pororo, and, most notably, George Strait.

“She likes steel guitar, and I am more than thrilled about that,” he said, laughing. “It’s a banger. Listen to that after.”

While she hasn’t exactly become a Posty fan yet, he doesn’t seem to mind. In fact, he’s more amused than anything — and maybe a little inspired.

One Day at a Time

Fatherhood doesn’t come with a manual, and Malone is figuring it out right alongside her.

“I don’t know what the hell I’m doing, and neither does she,” he joked. “She’s just figuring it out.”

Even so, there’s a rhythm to it now. “I take it day by day,” he told the outlet. “It’s learning day after day. Kids are little sh--s and they are wonderful at the same time.”

He’s still in disbelief that she’s already three — and even more amazed that, as he puts it: “I didn’t f--k this up just yet, so it’s good.”

At the End of the Day, It’s Family

With a career that keeps him constantly on the move, Malone says fatherhood has shifted his entire outlook.

“She’s f--king hilarious. It’s unstoppable,” he added. “All you really need is just family, at the end of the day.”
