Portsmouth Man Strangles Dog [NEWS]

( Portsmouth, N.H. ) - Portsmouth police say a man broke into his neighbor's apartment yesterday to try and silence a dog that he says was constantly barking.

50 year old Roger Pelletier of Portsmouth tried to strangle the Shih Tzu dog and ended up being bitten by the dog and brawling with  the dog's owner.Pelletier was charged with burglary, cruelty to animals, and simple assault. he's being held in jail on $5,000 dollars bail and will be arraigned on Monday. The dog was taken to a veterinarian for evaluation.
