Flagg grew up in Newport, attending Nokomis Regional High School as a freshman, winning the Maine Class A state championship with his twin brother, Ace, and their older brother, Hunter, who was then a senior. Shortly after, Cooper and Ace transferred to the college preparatory school Montverde Academy in Florida.

Flagg returned with Ace to the arena where they had won the ‘gold ball’ two seasons ago with Nokomis. They now play for the No. 1 team in the country, but their presence at ‘The Maine Event’ was more than welcome, drawing a sold-out crowd. In fact, tickets for this event sold out within the hour of sale time.
