Parents Make Their Daughter Wear Embarrassing Sign in Public

Gentry and Renee Nickell, were having serious issues disciplining their 13-year-old daughter. So they decided to make the ‘self-entitled’ teenager wear an embarrassing sign in public for 90 minutes.

The girl had a sign that read: ‘I’m a Self-entitled teenager w/no Respect for authority. I’m also super smart, yet I have 3 “D’s” because I DON’T CARE.’ She sat with her father at a busy intersection in Florida for 90 minutes. The father told the local paper that he saw drivers slow down and take pictures of the sign. One even called the cops.

A police officers talked to the teenager to make sure she wasn’t being abused by her family. The parents on the other hand were outraged that people were so judgmental.

Gentry said: ‘We got to the point where we just didn’t know what else to do.’ The parents noticed that their daughter ‘kind of gave up’ when her uncle was shot and killed in Afghanistan in 2011. Since then, the girl became difficult and disrespectful.

But after wearing the sign for 90 minutes, the teenager turned around and told her father that she was sorry for her bad behavior.
