Ozzy Osbourne Passes Away: Legendary Career Included Iconic Maine Performances
The Prince of Darkness Has Sadly Departed.
Ozzy Osbourne has passed away at the age of 76. The legendary rocker is gone, just a few weeks after his final ever performance, which took place in Birmingham, England, at the beginning of July.
Ozzy Osbourne Had One of the Most Legendary Careers Ever
Born John Michael Osbourne, Ozzy became one of the most iconic performers in rock history. Known for legendary performances, iconic songs, wild antics, and a hit reality television show, it’s easy to say Osbourne’s career was one of the most extensive ever seen.
Osbourne’s breakthrough came with Black Sabbath, of which he was a founding member. Following that success, he left to go solo and enjoy a long and storied career.
However, younger generations likely know him best from his third act — a hit reality show about him and his family called The Osbournes, which ran for four seasons on MTV.
Ozzy Osbourne Performed Numerous Times in Maine
Fortunately for Ozzy fans in Maine, his talent was witnessed quite a few times over the years. This included two shows in the 1970s with Black Sabbath and numerous shows during his solo career.
Nearly every show took place in Portland. However, Ozzy did make one trek up to Eastern Maine to play at the legendary Bangor Auditorium.
