Northern Maine Community College will host its annual job fair on Thursday, March 8, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the College gymnasium.

The event will provide an opportunity for the public to meet with hiring representatives from over 65 businesses, organizations, and government entities from throughout The County and Maine ‑ all under one roof.

“This is the largest Job Fair we have hosted to date,” said Ruth White, regional director of Early College for ME program. “We have some long standing employers joining us, but we also have some new to the scene as well.”

The NMCC Job Fair, the largest in Aroostook, brings together a wide range of employers who are looking for skills from laborers, nurses, lab techs, truck drivers, construction, heavy equipment operators, administrative assistants, manager trainees, plus many more. There are jobs across all education levels, full and part time, as well as internship opportunities.

There also will be representatives from Northern Maine Community College, Husson University, and the University of Maine at Presque Isle to encourage attendees to continue their educational journey.

White says, “There will be a designated area of the gymnasium for employers to conduct interviews if they wish. It is also highly recommended that interested attendees bring their resumes to showcase their work and education experiences.”

The Job Fair is open to everyone interested in applying for a job or those who want to become acquainted with the opportunities open to them.
