Moncton Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash
A Moncton man is dead following a motorcycle crash Wednesday night in Boundary Creek, about 20 kilometres west of Moncton.
Riverview RCMP say the motorcyclist was on Route 106 shortly after 9:00 p.m. when he lost control while driving around a corner. The motorcycle struck a guard rail.
The 36-year-old man, who was the only person on the motorcycle, died at the scene as a result of his injuries, according to Constable Donnie Robertson.
The RCMP's collision reconstructionist attended the scene. It's believed speed may have been a factor in the crash, Robertson said.
The Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance NB also responded to the accident. Route 106 was closed for several hours Wednesday night.
The RCMP investigation is continuing.
