A State Trooper got then on the phone with him while Gardiner Police went to the store to confirm that Birch was safe.

Maine State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating an elderly New Gloucester man who did not show up for a medical appointment Thursday morning in Yarmouth and is believed to be operating his pickup truck. 78-year-old Frank Birch was last seen about 8:30 am in North Yarmouth after his truck was pulled out of a snow bank by a wrecker.
