
Man Died and Six Injured after Two-Vehicle Crash in Maine
An 82-year-old man died Saturday and six people were injured, including four children, after a two-vehicle crash on Route 11 in Patten.
Crash Near Scenic Turnout
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said “a GMC truck made a U-turn from a scenic turnout directly in front of an oncoming Dodge truck, resulting in a collision where the GMC was struck on the driver's side.”
Child Injured
A minor child in the GMC truck was injured and treated and later released from medical care.
Two Adults and Three Children Injured
Three children and two adults were in the Dodge truck. All five were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Crash Investigation and First Responders
Investigators and first responders included the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, the Maine Warden Service and the Patten and Sherman Fire Departments.
