Man Charged in Sackville Armed Robbery
Police say a 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Sackville gas station earlier this month.
On the night of Sunday, March 12 a man armed with a knife entered the Tantramar Gas Bar and convenience store. Cpl. Alain LeBlanc of the Sackville RCMP Detachment said the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.
RCMP arrested a suspect on Wednesday, March 22. Police say 27-year-old Tanar Sears appeared in court on Thursday. He was charged with one count of robbery with an offensive weapon and one count of being disguised with intent to commit an offence.
Sears has been remanded in custody pending a bail hearing on Friday.
