It's been pretty cool to watch construction work being done on the Maine Savings Amphitheater complex. Since they shut down the old Darlings Waterfront Pavillion in 2019 and started building up the new venue along Bangor's waterfront, the progress has been remarkable.

According to Jeff Wallace, the City of Bangor's Code Enforcement Director, these new stairs should help a great deal with foot traffic in and out of the MSA facility.

"These stairs allow for needed egress capacity, ensuring the safety of concert-goers, as well as allowing easier bathroom access/flow for patrons enjoying concerts in the lawn section."

"The stairs off of the lawn at the rear of the venue are the only major construction project that has occurred since the completion of the 2023 concert season. At this point, this is the only construction project anticipated for the 2024 season. "
