A Maine Restaurant Helps With An Adorable ‘Promposal’
She said yes!
A 'promposal' usually involves a special or elaborate act, or presentation that took some thought and time to prepare, and one young man did just that!
Miles came up with a very creative way to ask Mya to prom, when he got the legendary Taste of Maine restaurant to feature his digital image on their outdoor sign, with the words "Will You Go To Prom With Me?"
Have a great prom night, Miles & Mya!!
Should you find yourself in the Woolwich area this spring & summer season, this iconic spot is the perfect "road trip worthy" Maine destination!
Spring has sprung, and without a doubt, it is the time where lots of people take a well-deserved vacation from the daily grind and hit the open road.
If you are headed out of town to explore some cool Maine traditions, and you love lobster rolls, we found a perfect fit.
The Taste of Maine restaurant, located at 161 Main Street, in Woolwich, is open for an amazing 47th season.
The Taste of Maine restaurant has been serving up delicious seafood since 1978. They have a few claims to fame, one being a giant inflatable lobster that sits on top of the roof, and covers about 75% of it, and the other is their claim that they serve "The World’s Largest Lobster Roll."
These bad boys are 24-inches long, and it has become a dare that many customers have taken on over the years. In fact, should you finish this beast, you become an official member of "The Clean Plate Club" which based on the sheer size of this lobster roll, is no easy feat.
Usually summer lobster lovers can expect to pay in excess of $40 for a single roll at some of the state's most popular summer eateries, but the average price is closer to $30, but if you want the biggest one in the world, it will run you quite a bit more.
"The World’s Largest Lobster Roll" goes for an astounding $189.99. Sounds pricey, but you sure get bang for your buck. It is 1 1/2 lb of fresh Maine lobster meat served with fries and watermelon.
Should your travels in Maine take you that way, this is a perfect Summer Bucket List adventure!
