Like many of you, I also have 67 candles. Do you ever noticed how one candle turns into twenty?
Like I go to the store for paper towels and somehow come home with a $19.99 autumn-pumpkin-spice-whipped-marshmallow-apple-orchard-delight candle.
Yep, and the second I light it, BOOM, my entire personality turns into a Bath and Body Works.
Have you got candles for every mood? Stressed? Lavender. Happy? Vanilla bean. Existential dread? Eucalyptus mint. We're all basically running a black market Yankee Candle in our homes.
Could your house also quality as a fire hazard because of the amount of wax you have?
What would my Maine town smell like if it were a candle?
Now that we have declared we are all nuts about candles. If your town could smell like a candle this time of year, what would it be? Here are five Maine towns coupled with what we think they're smell would be. You agree?
- Portland would smell like coffee and sea breeze because of the endless coffee shops and that yummy ocean air.
- Lewiston/Auburn would smell like old church pew and warm apple cider due to the historic Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul on Ash Street and Wallingford Apple Orchard across the bridge in Auburn.
- Bangor would be scented as pumpkin spice and sawmill because they were a major a major lumber port back in the 19th century.
- Saco would smell like sunscreen and white pine, which is a perfect mixture of summer fun at Funtown and the charm on their iconic pine trees.
- Sanford maple syrup and campfire because of the endless camps in Sandford and of course and Packy's Sugar House!
