LIMERICK, Maine (AP) — A 13-year-old boy who was given permission to use a pickup truck to haul trash down a private driveway ended up pinning his mother and brother against their house.

The York County Sheriff’s Department says the boy’s foot apparently slipped off the clutch while backing up the truck Thursday morning.  The pickup lurched backward, pinning 37-year-old Molly Mooers and the boy’s 10-year-old brother against their house in Limerick.

Deputies say Mooers suffered a broken leg and possible internal injuries and the younger boy suffered leg injuries, as well. Both were taken to a Maine Medical Center in Portland.
