Watch How These Maine Sheep Beat The Heat at Ledge Hill Farm
If you think it's rough in 100-degree weather as a human, imagine what it's like for the sheep at this farm in Buckfield, Maine.
Ledge Hill Farm
John and Cassie Petrocelli own and operate Ledge Hill Farm, a sheep farm in Buckfield, Maine. They have rams, ewes, and adorable little lambs. They sell a range of products, including sheep pelts, and you'll find them at many of the local fairs in Maine, including the Fryeburg Fair.
For the record, the above photo is a stock photo, but you have to admit, it's pretty adorable.
It's Getting Hot in Here
So what do sheep do when it gets as hot as 100 degrees in June in Maine? They need a way to cool down. Sheep are typically sheared for their fleece in the spring, so at least that's a bit of a relief for them.
Cassie posted a video to her Facebook page that I hope goes viral. Have you ever stuck your face right up the blowing fan to cool off? The sheep at Ledge Hill Farm have!
Man, that's gotta be rough, but they seem to be enjoying themselves as they do their best to beat the heat.
Another Possible Viral Video?
The choice of song for this video is perfect as well. I'm not sure if Nelly is a big fan of hens, but his song "Hot in Here" is on point.
Let's help make it happen, people! Sheep and hens at Ledge Hill Farm are the first summer sensation of 2025!
Too much hype? Nah.
