Homegrown art and music will be the backdrop for a fun night on the town this Friday,  Presque Isle’s First Friday Art Walk gives you plenty of options for free entertainment at the shops and cafés in the downtown area.  Scroll down for a complete list of the First Friday participants. Bou’s Brew Pub at 431 Main Street presents local artists Demerese Montgomery and Patsy Carlson. Demerese is a photographer and aspiring painter who studied Fine Arts at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Patsy Carlson is also an aspiring painter and is joining the Art Walk as a first timer.

Catholic Charities (11 Davis Street) welcomes Frank Marmanak to the stage playing his 50’s-style rock.

Hand Me Down Antiques at 477 Main Street features some festive fiddle music with “George & Friends Fiddlers.”

Merchants on the Corner at 394 Main Street is hosting a free Beer Tasting for Friday’s  Art Walk from 6 until 8 p.m.

Morning Star Art & Framing (422 Main Street) Sharon Guerrette is the featured artist for June. Her work consists of portraits, wildlife, pets, landscapes and seascapes. Peter Parker and the gang will be performing.

The University of Maine at Presque Isle's Reed Fine Art Gallery will host the works of Anderson Giles: painter, photographer, gallery director and filmmaker. A gallery show will be held from 5 - 7 pm.

StarCity Coffee at 483 Main Street will feature a local artist TBA.

The Whole Potato Café & Commons (428 Main Street)  Photographer Olivia Hollingsworth, will be showcasing her organic and intimate  work between 6  and 9 p.m. Travis Cyr will perform at 7 p.m. and Steve Hartley will play old-timey banjo and “git” songs beginning at 8.

Wintergreen Arts Center at 149 State Street welcomes stained glass artist, Kathleen Cassidy to their June reception. Mark and Jordyn Shaw and Brien Sandstrom will provide live acoustic music.
