Yes, Pokemon Vending Machines Are Real and in These 3 New England States

Vending machines have surprisingly been around for well over 100 years.

According to Bon Appétit, they date all the way back to the 1800s. We most often think of soda vending machines, which were introduced in the 1930s, and snack-based vending machines, which came years later.

Of course, the types of vending machines have expanded their offerings over time, including, more recently, yup, Pokemon cards.

Pokemon Vending Machines in New England

Turns out, a new type of vending machine has been popping up across New England: Pokemon Vending Machines.

According to the Pokemon Center website, "Pokemon vending machines are a fun way to purchase Pokemon Trading Card Game products through the convenience of a vending machine" and include Elite Trainer Boxes, Booster Packs, and other trading card game products.

So, all you Pikachu fans and those looking for the newest rare Charizard card, you might want to check these out. Maybe your kids want 'em, or you just gotta "catch 'em all" yourself.

As of May 2025, only three New England states have them: New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Interestingly, in those three states, they can all be found in Shaw's grocery stores except for one Star Market in Marshfield, Massachusetts.
