Worst Pancakes in Maine Surge in Popularity After Negative Yelp Review at This Diner

Sometimes, you just have to call 'em out.

Deb's Bristol Diner, located at 1267 Bristol Road in Bristol, Maine, is very well-known by locals and tourists alike.  The local EMTs, fire department, and police department go to Deb's for their morning coffee and to partake in Deb's delicious homemade food.  Tourists stop there too, because it is on a busy road in Bristol.

There's nothing on the menu that isn't delicious at Deb's Bristol Diner.  That's why when someone gave a bad review on Yelp about the blueberry pancakes, they had to call it out. Because that's just silly talk.

Down East nominated Deb's as the best diner in the state.  That edition is coming out in September, 2024.

My husband and I went into Deb's on a Sunday morning.  The waitstaff said that a lot of people had been ordering the blueberry pancakes because of the bad review.  The cakes are made with fresh blueberries from Maine, and served with real maple syrup.

Here's a good tip if you plan to try the deliciousness that is Deb's.  You should go when they first open at 6am before the crowd gets there, which is usually around 8:30 am.  Getting there at 6am gives you an opportunity to chat with the waitstaff (two or three people), and maybe say hello to Deb in the kitchen, making those yummy pancakes.  You'll also likely get a parking space.  The place is small, so you'll beat the rush inside and out of the diner.

The only reason someone wouldn't like Deb's blueberry pancakes is if they didn't like them in the first place.  I'm not sure why anyone would order them if they didn't like them, but people are funny.
