15 amazing sandwiches in Maine from liverwurst to 'beef on weck'

The great thing about asking people about their favorite sandwiches is that it runs the gamut. I was surprised to see a liverwurst sandwich (the Cannonball from Big Top Deli) make the top 15. But it did. I haven't had liverwurst since growing up. My dad loved liverwurst and I always wanted to and tried so many times. I never quite acquired the tolerance for the taste or consistency. But if you like it, try the Cannonball at Big Top Deli in Brunswick. It's a favorite of Todd who left a glowing review on Yelp.

In gathering the scoop on the best sandwich, I realized that out of the 15 places and 15 sandwiches mentioned, I've had nine of the 15!
