A free classic movie outdoors? Not a bad way to kick off a weekend!

It’s a rare non-concert night on the Bangor Waterfront, so grab the gang on Friday, August 4th, because Downtown Bangor, is teaming up with the Maine Savings Amphitheater, to host a FREE screening of the classic film, "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory"

The gates will open to the public at 6:00pm on Friday night, and the film will begin at 6:30pm sharp. Best of all, there is plenty of room there to stretch out and enjoy the show on the big screen. Also, it is an excellent chance to get a look at all the new improvements made to the concert facility while you are there!

Food and drinks will be available for purchase during the movie.

You can bring a blanket to sit on, however lawn chairs are not permitted at the venue.

Guests will enter thru the Northwest Entrance, right across the street from Dunkin.

This 1971 American classic, tells the story of a poor child named Charlie Bucket, who, upon finding a Golden Ticket in a chocolate bar, wins the chance to visit Willy Wonka's chocolate factory along with four other children from around the world.

It was remade in 2005, as "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", starring Johnny Depp, and will once again hit the big screen, as "Wonka" on December 15th, with
Timothée Chalamet, playing the title character.

It is the perfect Friday night movie to watch outdoors with the whole family!
