Since the 1800s, one Maine family name has been synonymous with ice cream. Giffords has been making ice cream in the Pine Tree state for as long back as most can remember, and for the past 46 years, they've been selling that ice cream at their family stands across the state.

They're also making a few additions to the Gifford's pints available for sale at local retailers, including Cereal and Cream (formerly known to fans as the beloved Grape-Nuts® flavor), I Scream for Cake and  White Pistachio.

Staci Gifford, Vice President of Gifford’s Family-Owned Stands, says it's fun to share new flavors with folks every season.

"Every season gives us new reasons to scoop and share...With our new pint flavors in grocery stores and our family-owned stands reopening in Maine, there are simply more scoops to love—and more moments to enjoy together.”

Giffords production had suffered a setback a few years ago when fire broke out at one of their production facilities. But they are back up to full capacity now that it's been rebuilt.

“With our new production facility fully operational, we’re excited to continue growing,” said Lindsay Skilling, CEO of Gifford’s Ice Cream. “Expanding our pint lineup allows us to bring even more of our flavors to our fans across New England, while staying true to the quality, creativity, and family traditions that have defined Gifford’s for generations. We’re always looking for new ways to surprise and delight our customers, and these new flavors are a fun reflection of that.”

The folks at Giffords say they will also be offering a number of family activities and events throughout the season which they'll be announcing via their social media pages on Instagram and Facebook.
