The Presque Isle Rec. and Parks Department is hosting a new and unique event.

It's the Presque Isle Recreation and Parks' "Fowl" Shooting Contest, November 16 - 18. The competition will be open to those in grades 5-8, their parents, grandparents, or guardians.

There will be four divisions:

Mother/Daughter

Father/Daughter

Mother/Son

and Father/Son.

Teams will consist of one child and one parent/grandparent/guardian. Each team will be given a total of 50 foul shots (25 per teammate). The team with the highest number of shots made in their division will be the winner. One official attempt can be made on each of the three days of the competition.

One winner in each of the four divisions will receive a Thanksgiving turkey, generously donated by Star City IGA.

Teams are encouraged to practice before making an official attempt. Teams can practice and/or make their official attempt at the Sargent Family Community Center at any or all of the following days and times:

Friday, November 16 from 5-7 pm

Saturday, November 17 from 1-3 pm

Sunday, November 18 from 1-3 pm
