Shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday, a 2015 Subaru operated by Jacob Lebel was traveling north on the Route 11 in Wallagrass, according to a press release from Sgt. Jeffrey Clark.

State Police say Lebel was exceeding the posted speed limit and failed to negotiate a curve. The car went off of the southbound side of the road and down an embankment.

Lebel was transported by Fort Kent Ambulance to Northern Maine Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Police say Lebel was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. The vehicle was a total loss.

Maine State Police Trooper Matt Curtin investigated the crash.
