Eagles Keep Winning In NAC
Husson senior guard Raheem Anderson pumped in 35 points as the Eagles got an important NAC road win, 77-71, over Castleton in overtime Friday night.
And then the Husson women's blew out Castleton 68-36 to make it a road sweep.
Men's Game: The game was tied 65-65 after regulation, the Eagles scored all 12 overtime points at the foul line. Anderson was 9-for-9 and Mitch Worcester was 3-for-4.
The victory improves coach Warren Caruso's team to 7-2 in the North Atlantic Conference play and 9-5 overall.
Castleton now 6-3 and 11-4.
Women's Game: Coach Kissy Walker's Eagles forced another 25 turnovers with that stifling defense and holding the Spartans to 24% shooting from the field.
Meanwhile, Kenzie Worcester and Darla Morales led the offense with 16 and 14 points respectively. 10 Eagles got on the score sheet.
Husson is now 9-0 NAC, 13-1 overall.
Castleton falls to 6-3 and 8-7.
The Eagles continue NAC play in Vermont today with a doubleheader at Green Mountain State.
