Delmar "Chappy" Clark was a 4-sport athlete who excelled in basketball, baseball, track and cross-country during his high school days between 1958-1962. Clark was the Tigers' first 1000-point scorer but was never recognized for that accomplishment until now, after a review of statistics from games nearly 6 decades ago.

Clark, who lives in Blaine, was Mars Hill Recreation director for several years before becoming Blaine's town manager. He is retiring at the end of the month after serving more than 20 years as town manager.

During his high school sports career, Clark was dubbed by the media: “The hardest working player in Aroostook County.”  He averaged 20.5 points per game his senior basketball season, was named Aroostook County MVP, and was selected as a member of the All-State third team.
