Comrades Score Walk-Off 7-6 Win To Open Tourney

Sam Huston delivered a 2-run walk-off hit in the bottom of the 9th to give the Coffee News Comrades of Bangor a 7-6 win over Skowhegan in the first round of the American Legion Zone 1 Tournament.

The win improves Bangor's record to 16-5 overall. The Comrades are the two-time defending state champs in American Legion baseball.

The Zone 1 winner and runnerup will advance to the state tourney in Augusta starting next Wednesday.
