
Central Aroostook Girls Escape With Narrow Victory Over Machias
The Central Aroostook Panthers mixed it up with the Machias Bulldogs and escaped with a 45-44 win over in a quarterfinal match-up at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
92.9 The Ticket reports the No. 4 Panthers of Mars Hill played tenacious defense to come away with the win over the No. 5 Bulldogs.
The game was tied at 41 with 30 seconds to go.Tate Dolley of Machias led all scorers with 32 points, including 16-16 form the foul line, a Class D tournament record.
Freshman Ashlee Harris led the Panthers with 13 points.
Senior Molly Anthony had 5 points but terrorized the Bulldogs on defense forcing numerous turnovers.
