High School Athlete of Week

More than 21,000 votes were cast for Athlete of the Winter as seven County athletes earned top honors after a standout winter season.

The Aroostook League Scholars Banquet honored top student-athletes in Caribou, with Julia Clukey sharing her story and ten $500 scholarships awarded to County seniors.

Athlete of the Winter voting is open now through Thursday the 12th at 1pm. Vote once per hour on one page covering all winter sports, and send us feedback on what you want to see more of.

Athlete of the Winter nominations are open now through next Thursday at 9pm. We’ll recognize one male and one female winner from each winter sport. Nominate a student-athlete here

As the final buzzer sounded, certain players emerged as stars, earning their spot on the coveted All-Tournament Team.

Easton’s Raiden Cochran is the Winter Week Eleven Athlete of the Week after scoring 16 points for the Northern Maine Class S champion Bears. Athlete of the Winter nominations open Saturday afternoon through March 5.

The Aroostook League All-Star Basketball Games are Thursday, March 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Caribou High School. Check the girls and boys senior all-star rosters and get ready for a great night of County hoops.
