Investigators with the Computer Crimes Unit arrested 37 year old Ronald Boersma at his home at 27 Glenwood Ave. in Brewer Thursday afternoon, said police.

Boersma is charged with unlawful sexual contact with a minor and was taken to the Penobscot County Jail, police said. The arrest came a day after his computer was seized from his home.

Investigators say they found child pornography on the computer, but they plan to do further analysis before lodging additional charges. It also is not known if any images of his victim were also on his computer.

Boersma is employed at a local bakery and is a convicted sex offender. He also was convicted of possessing child porn in 2003 during court martial proceedings while serving in the Navy out of state.
