Bouchard, Wheaton Miss Basketball Finalists

Five of the six finalists for the Mr. and Miss Maine Basketball Awards are from North Region teams - Ian McIntyre, Taylor Schildroth, Terion Moss, Kolleen Bouchard and Emily Wheaton.

McIntyre leads the Hampden Broncos into the Class A state game Thursday night. Schildroth leads George Stevens Academy into the Class C state game Saturday. Moss has been a four year standout for Class AA North Portland. Bouchard is a 2,000 point career scorer for Houlton and will play in the Class C state game Saturday. Wheaton is the Big East Conference Class B Player of the Year from Presque Isle.

Page Brown from Boothbay Region HS is from the South Region.

The Mr. and Miss Basketball Awards will be announced during the McDonald's Senior All Star banquet on Friday, March 9th in Bangor. The four All Star games will be played at Husson University on Saturday, March 10th.

Net proceeds from All Star Weekend benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine.

The Mr. and Miss Basketball Awards began in 1988.
