Still Time to Catch a Red Sox Game from Maine
3.5 hours to Boston from Bangor. 3.2 if you don't stop. 15 minutes to find parking at Fenway. Let's call it an even 4 hours from central Maine to a parking spot outside the park in Boston. Season is almost over. Let's do this.
How Many Games Are Left to Be Able to Catch from Maine?
We are in the penultimate week of the MLB season, and the Red Sox have a chance at making the playoffs ... with a miracle ... with a miracle and a prayer ... with a miracle and a .... ok the chances are excruciatingly slim.
HOWEVER, there are still some home games before the lights turn off at Fenway for the remainder of 2024, and with those slim chances of playoff hopes - comes slimmed down ticket prices.
September 20th through the 22nd, it's a weekend of playing the Minnesota Twins. These are must win games if the Sox even want to sniff a chance at the playoffs.
Boston then goes on the road to Toronto and then back at home for the final regular season series against the Rays September 27th through the 29th.
Ticket Prices Are Low for These Final Boston Red Sox Series Games at Fenway
For the Twins series, you are looking at $35 tickets for the Friday night game to as low as $24 for the Sunday afternoon game when buying directly through the MLB/Red Sox website.
For the final series of the season against Tampa Bay, tickets right now are as low as $35 on the MLB/Red Sox website, but who knows how much they may drop if and when playoff hopes are extinguished (which, of course, we don't want to happen, but we're pragmatic).
As for third party sites like StubHub, I am seeing them for $13, minus whatever outrageous, should be illegal fees are charged when you eventually checkout.
So, here's your reminder that if you haven't hit a game this summer and still want to, there is time, and it is affordable! Play ball!
