Authorities say the body was spotted at about 6:15 Friday night near the Sea Dog Brewing Co. in Bangor.

The Portland Press Herald reports that the body was located several miles downstream from where authorities have been searching for missing Maine Maritime Academy student David Breunig, of Westbrook, since late February.

Authorities say they know the identity of the body but are not releasing it until positive identification is made by the medical examiner.

The 21-year-old Breunig was last seen in Orono on Feb. 26.
