Beyonce, Rihanna and Drake Dominate 2017 Billboard Music Award Nominees
The first round of the 2017 Billboard Music Award nominees were revealed on Good Morning America today (April 10), with Drake, Beyoncé, Rihanna and The Weeknd leading the pack.
Top Female Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Hot 100 Song, Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Artist were the five categories announced, all of which are stacked with big names. However, it's Drake who had the biggest showing, propelled by his record-breaking album, Views. Drizzy is nominated in the Hot 100 Song, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Artist categories—basically, all of the them with the obvious exception of Top Female Artist.
Beyoncé was nominated in three categories, including Top Billboard 200 Album for Lemonade. Rihanna was also nominated in three categories, including Top Billboard 200 Album for Anti and Top Artist. The Weeknd's Starboy also had a great showing, and the singer was also nominated in three categories including Top Artist.
The 2017 Billboard Music Awards will air live on ABC on May 21 at 8 p.m. EST.
