Beyonce and Jay-Z Pay Tribute to Grenfell Tower Fire Victims During On the Run II Tour
Beyoncé and Jay-Z are currently four shows into the U.K. leg of the On the Run II Tour and during their Friday night (June 15) show in London, the couple decided to pay tribute to the victims of the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire.
Performing just one day after the one-year anniversary of the tragic event that took the lives of 72 people, Bey and Hov dedicated "Forever Young" to the victims. Jay-Z also wore a green heart on his jacket as a tribute to the victims.
"We are grateful that Jay Z and Beyonce dedicated their last song to Grenfell tonight, they said their thoughts were with the families & survivors," the official Justice for Grenfell Twitter account tweeted. "We are glad they wore the green heart badges that we sent over! Thank you 💚#Justice4Grenfell @grenfellspeaks."
Up next for Beyoncé and Jay, the couple will continue their tour with another show tonight (June 16) in London. The European leg of the tour will run until July 17 before the artists pick up again on July 25 in Cleveland. The pair will then make stops in Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles and more.
