We haven’t checked in on Slippin’ Jimmy since April of 2016, and if our first Better Call Saul Season 3 footage is any indication, things don’t seem to be going the criminal lawyer’s way. Our first tease of new footage sees James McGill in a pickle, also promising a spring 2017 premiere.

Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould shared the brief tease of Season 3, which sees Walter White’s future lawyer in need of defender himself. Additionally, where both Seasons 1 and 2 premiered in February of their respective years, it seems as if Season 3 isn’t quite willing to commit to such an early date, instead promising “Spring 2017.”

In any case, Better Call Saul players have promised several familiar faces likely to pop up in Season 3, especially after an explicit reference to the biggest Breaking Bad-die of all. Creators Vince Gilligan and Gould have acknowledged fans figuring out their little Season 2 puzzle, while Bryan Cranston has also teased returning characters.

We’ll see when AMC finally shoots for a Season 3 premiere, but what trouble might Jimmy have gotten himself into? Better Call Saul! Oh, right.
