Police are searching for two men who are reported to have broken into a home in the Bangor area Monday night and robbed a woman at knife point.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff Department, the intruders wore masks during the robbery at a home in Orrington. The victim, who is in her 50's, was not injured.

Penobscot County Sheriff Glenn Ross said that a short time later, two men in masks were spotted outside the Kozy Korner store about a mile from the woman's home. Local residents gave chase, but the suspects got away.

Police are looking for a small gold, tan or silver SUV with a dark color on the bottom half of the vehicle.

This is the latest in a series of home invasions in recent weeks in Orrington as well as in nearby Holden, Orono and Alton, Maine. Police believe this crime may also be connected to an armed robbery Sunday at a store in Glenburn.
