Lucasfilm Had a ‘Big Debate’ With Disney’s Bob Iger Over Killing Off Han Solo
Han Solo’s death is the kind of cinematic moment you never forget. I certainly won’t forget the reaction of the theater I was in when I first saw The Force Awakens, the audible gasps and cries (one very loud one from my mom sitting beside me) when that dirtbag Kylo Ren pretended to give up the Dark Side then killed his pops just like that...

Adam Driver Promises the Unexpected for Kylo Ren in ‘The Last Jedi’
You never know what you’re going to get with Adam Driver. The actor has continually surprised us over the years as he’s expanded his resume since HBO’s Girls, from poetic bus driver to kooky hillbilly criminal in this week’s Logan Lucky to warrior of the Dark Side. And you can expect the unexpected when it comes to his Kylo Ren, too.
‘Girls Trip’ Review: The Filthiest and Funniest Comedy of the Summer
Four women, one weekend, a lot of alcohol, and more dick jokes than you can count. It’s the perfect recipe for a raunchy comedy, and makes Girls Trip the funniest, filthiest, and most feminist comedy of the summer. It’s the latest in a growing subgenre of R-rated female-led comedies, making it impossible to avoid comparisons to Bridesmaids, Trainwreck, Bad Moms, and Rough Night. But Girls Trip isn’t just notable for its foul-mouthed sense of humor; you can see women being nasty on any episode of Broad City. The latest from director Malcolm D. Lee (The Best Man Holiday), tells a story that celebrates black sisterhood, female sexuality and most rewardingly, self-respect.

Prepare for a ‘Wonder Woman’ Sequel Announcement and Release Date at Comic-Con
We know a Wonder Woman sequel is happening – how could Warner Bros. not give us another Diana Prince outing after Patty Jenkins‘ film smashed its way to the top of the box office? The film, which has bypasses the final Harry Potter film to become the studio’s third-biggest release of all time, has yet to get an official sequel announcement, but there are rumors that such news is on the way.
Ron Howard Shares the First Photo of Chewbacca on ‘Han Solo’ Set
Ron Howard finally learned how to use his phone camera! The director has been sharing a bunch of obscure (and relatively boring) photos from the set of the Han Solo movie since taking over as director. He took a photo of a case of water bottles (thrilling!), a street sign outside Pinewood Studios, and a coffee mug, convincing me that they all must have been accidents. He was clearly trying to take a selfie with Alden Ehrenreich’s titular smuggler but couldn’t figure out how to reverse the camera. Finally, today, we got a revealing photo.
