Police in western New Brunswick are searching for a man who was allegedly involved in an attempted armed robbery at the Royal Canadian Legion in Hartland late Friday.

According to Constable Lindon Bartley of the Woodstock RCMP Detachment, a man wearing a mask and brandishing a knife entered the Legion Hall on Orser Street at approximately 4:20 p.m. and demanded money from the bartender. The man fled with nothing and was seen getting into a vehicle being driven by a woman, police said.

A 41-year-old woman was arrested Friday evening in connection with the crime and remains in custody. No one was injured in the incident.

The RCMP-Woodstock Town Police Integrated Crime Reduction Unit is assisting in the investigation.  We'll have more information as it becomes available.
