All the fun and festivities of Caribou Cares About Kids will be packed into two days this Friday and Saturday, August 8th and 9th in Caribou.

On Friday, it's the 'Tie Dye T-shirt and Music Grooving Extravaganza' at the Caribou Wellness Center from 10 to 2. Bring the kids to do tie dying and other fun activities. There will be music by Tim the Tune Man, dancing, face painting, a bounce house and a hot dog barbecue. Sponsored in part by the Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Caribou Cares About Kids Parade starts at 6 p.m. Friday with line up at 5 at the Skyway Plaza. This year's theme is "Caribou: Past, Present and Future."  Judging of the floats will take place at the Wellness Center parking lot, with trophies awarded for best overall use of theme, best business and best nonprofit organization showing. The parade route starts on Skyway, heads down Bennett Drive, down High Street, over to Herschel Street, before ending up at the courthouse on Sweden Street. Rain or shine!

Right after the parade, it's Movie Night in Teague Park with a free showing of 'The Lego Movie.' If it rains, the movie will be shown inside the Wellness Center.

Saturday is Family Fun Day in Teague Park.  Activities and vendors cover the entire park from 10-2.  Games and prizes, snacks, inflatables, and much more. Sponsored by Cary Medical Center and by the Caribou Recreation Department.

Teen Night at the Caribou Wellness Center Saturday night from 6 - 9 features music, games and other fun activities.

The Maine Bureau of Highway Safety Pink and Blue Bomber Race gets underway at 7 p.m. Saturday at Spud Speedway.  Tickets are 5 dollars.  Proceeds go to the Aroostook Autism Support Group and Pink Aroostook.
