Adam Lambert has officially joined the cast of Fox's upcoming remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He's set to portray Eddie, a role originally played by Meatloaf.

Lambert said in a statement (via The Hollywood Reporter), "I grew up watching Rocky Horror, but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. Rocky Horror always made me feel like it was OK to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll!"

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Victoria Justice and Ryan McCartan will play the roles of Janet and Brad, respectively. Reeve Carney (known for his role as Dorian Gray on Penny Dreadful and Taylor Swift's bad-boy love interest in her "I Knew You Were Trouble" video) has also been cast as Riff-Raff, while actor Staz Nair will play the titular role of Rocky Horror.

All four actors join Orange Is The New Black actress Laverne Cox, who already signed on to play Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the cult classic.

Fox first announced their plans to shoot a modernized remake of the 1975 movie back in April 2015. The network made it clear that, despite the success of past live musicals like The Wiz Live!, The Sound of Music Live! and Fox's own upcoming Grease Live, Rocky Horror will be recorded ahead of time.

The two-hour movie is set to be directed, executive produced and choreographed by Kenny Ortega (the force behind Hocus Pocus, High School Musical and what were to be Michael Jackson’s This Is It shows). Joining him as fellow executive producers are Lou Adler and Gail Berman, both of whom produced the original movie.

The movie has yet to lock in an official air date, but it's due to hit Fox in Fall 2016.
