Two Disney princesses are aiming to take one very big step closer to queendom.

Now that stretch limousines have hit the streets and department stores have been sapped of rental tuxes, prom season is officially upon us — and PopCrush is seeking the perfect king and queen to usher in the occasion! Last year, Harry Styles and Ariana Grande assumed the pair of pop-thrones, and now, we're in search of their successors.

On one hand, the royal bloodline may cede to actor/musician/fearless activist Zendaya, who's as admired for her efforts to fight for social justice as she is for any TV show or tune. Since her days on Shake it Up and Good Luck Charlie, Zendaya, who's 19, has cemented standing as teen-sweetheart, and is always up for a good red-carpet risk. Will her boldness translate to legendary PopCrush reign?

Still, Dove Cameron has got her sights on the crown and scepter, too. The 20-year-old stars as identical twins on Liv and Maddie and has appeared in Disney channel original movies Cloud 9 and Descendants as Mal, daughter of Maleficent. Has her experience in the world of fantasy kingdoms prepared her for the duties of prom-ruler?
