The Boston Red Sox stayed red hot with the bats as they cruised to an easy 13-2 win over the Minnesota Twins in the series opener.

Boston had 17 hits in the contest and chased Todd Duffey from the game after just 2.1 innings pitched.  Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr, and David Ortiz all had home runs in the contest, while Dustin Pedroia went 5-5 and recorded three runs.  The blast from Ortiz was his 24th of the season and he also chipped in with four runs batted in.
