Woman Dies in Collision in Central New Brunswick

Police say a 45-year-old woman from Miramichi has died following a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer just south of Rogersville, N.B.

Southeast District RCMP responded to the collision on Route 126 in Noinville shortly before 9 a.m. on Friday, according to Cpl. Dan Melanson.

It's believed that the woman's vehicle crossed over into the oncoming lane of traffic and struck the tractor-trailer, Melanson said.

The investigation into the cause of the crash in ongoing, with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.  Route 126 is expected to be closed for a few hours.
